Jackie is a member of the PEDRI Public Advisory Group.
She is an advocate of the importance of public involvement and engagement being embedded in all aspects of health and care research, including data research.
Living in Wales, Jackie is involved as a public representative for Health and Care Research Wales, a public contributor on the SAIL Databank Consumer Panel and for the National Institute for Health and Care Research.
Jackie is a public member of the Data-Can 2 Patient and Public Involvement Group and Health Data Research UK’s Transforming Data for Trials Research Public Advisory Group. She also sits on research governance and ethics committees in Wales. Jackie is a long-time volunteer with Lupus UK and has participated in several research studies.
Jackie believes that the public should be given clear information on how their data may be used and stored, and that this data should be of high quality, inclusive, reliable, relevant and up to date in order to have the potential to improve people`s lives in the future.
