Data Literacy Course

By DATAMIND and The McPin Foundation

The McPin Foundation and DATAMIND, with the help of the DATAMIND Super Research Advisory Group, have created this short course to help people understand how the NHS uses and stores healthcare data.

The course covers patients’ and citizens’ rights regarding their data. It explains how researchers use health data to learn more about health conditions and treatments, and it also discusses the potential risks and benefits of data use.

The course is designed for anyone interested in data, particularly those who have used NHS services and want to learn how their health data is managed. It is especially helpful for people who have used NHS mental health services, as it includes examples specifically related to mental health data.
