Time: 11.30 – 12.30 BST
Understanding data is more important than ever, but traditional communication methods don’t always connect with diverse audiences. This webinar introduces arts‑based approaches as powerful tools to build data literacy, support informed dialogue, and enhance public trust.
By placing creativity, storytelling, and human experiences at the centre, these methods help break down complexity and invite two‑way interaction. Whether through visual art, performance, creative writing, participatory activities, or other imaginative approaches, arts‑based engagement can open new pathways to understanding.
Through real‑world examples, our speakers will share how arts‑based methods have been used successfully in public engagement in data research and statistics, demonstrating their value in translating technical concepts into accessible, inclusive, and resonant experiences.
This session is part of a series of webinars exploring how you can use the PEDRI Good Practice Standards for public engagement in data research.
