Dr. Steve McEachern is the Director of the UK Data Service and Primary Investigator for the UKDS ESRC Award. He was previously Director of the Australian Data Archive and an Associate Professor with POLIS at the Australian National University. Steve has high-level expertise in data archiving and survey methodology, and has been actively involved in development and application of methods and technologies in these areas for over 25 years in Australia, the UK and internationally.
Steve is currently the treasurer of CODATA, the International Science Council’s Committee on Data in Science, a member of the Australian Academy of Science’s National Committee on Data in Science, vice-chair of the DDI Alliance Executive Committee and co-chair of the Research Data Alliance Social Science Interest Group.
