Anna is the Head of Understanding Patient Data (UPD), responsible for setting its strategic direction and overseeing its programme of work.
She has over 20 years’ experience leading communications, engagement, and research for organisations such as the Department of Health and Social Care and NHS England. Anna has spent the last eight years dedicated to shaping policy, programmes and initiatives that aim to make better use of data and data-driven technology. These include the Data Saves Lives strategy, the National Data Opt-Out, Shared Care Records, Secure Data Environments, the NHS AI Lab and the Federated Data Platform.
Anna is passionate about ensuring health and care data is used safely, securely, and transparently to improve outcomes and save lives.
