In collaboration with ADR UK, researchers at King’s College London use administrative data for research that can inform decision-making in policy and practice, for example informing how to best support young adults in education. This ultimately has the potential to improve people’s lives, by changing the way society functions for the better.
This animated video explains what administrative data is, how researchers can use it to inform policy, and how it is used securely. It was developed collaboratively with young people, to ensure it answers these questions and showcases the possibilities of administrative data research in a way that works for them.
This video was developed as part of an ADR UK Research Fellowship project led by Dr Alice Wickersham. It was created in a collaboration between the CAMHS Digital Lab, King’s College London, ADR UK, and Really Bright Media, in close consultation with the Young National Children’s Bureau Advisory Group and Lambeth Youth Advisory Group.
